We’re Golden
Morning. Evening. We’re Golden.
We’re Golden is a small, private check-in tool used by one family. An elderly father taps a single button on his phone twice a day — once in the morning, once in the evening — to let his three adult children know he is all right.
That is the whole of it. There is nothing to buy, nothing to sign up for, and no account to create. It is not offered to the public.
When text messages are sent
The system is silent when everything is fine. No text is sent to confirm a check-in, because a stream of routine messages is quickly ignored — and being ignored is the one thing an alert must never be.
A text message is sent only in these situations:
- A missed check-in. If he does not check in, and does not respond to a reminder on his own phone an hour later, one message goes to each of the three family members asking someone to phone him.
- An all-clear. If he checks in shortly after that, one further message tells the same people he is fine, so nobody keeps worrying.
- Pause confirmations. If a family member pauses check-ins — a hospital stay, a holiday — the others are told it has been paused.
In an ordinary month this is zero to two messages. There is no marketing, no newsletter, no promotional content of any kind, and messages are never sent to anyone outside the family.
Who receives them, and how they agreed
Messages go to three named family members — the father’s own adult children — and to nobody else. There is no mailing list and no sign-up form, because there is no audience beyond those three people.
Each of them agreed in person, in conversation, to receive these messages before the system was set up, and each has the phone number saved in their contacts. Consent was given verbally by people who chose to be contacted about their own father.
Any recipient can stop or pause messages at any time by replying to the number: PAUSE to pause check-ins for a day, PAUSE 3 for three days, RESUME to switch them back on, and STOP to opt out of messages entirely.
Who runs it
We’re Golden is built and operated by Lisa Kingham, sole proprietor of HansfordRoad AI, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, who also owns and operates this domain.
We’re Golden itself is not a product. It is not sold, not advertised, and not offered to the public — it was built for one family, and the only people it ever messages are the three named members of that family.

What it is not
We’re Golden is not an emergency service, not a medical alert system, and not a substitute for one. It does not detect falls, monitor health, or track location, and it cannot summon help. It prompts a family member to make a phone call. Notifications, mobile networks, and message delivery can all fail or be delayed.
